Assistant Manager - Private Clients Tax (Trusts)

We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in London, which is responsible for delivering annual tax compliance and planning work for a wide-ranging portfolio of Trust clients.

As Trust Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality service to a portfolio of Trust clients
  • Ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns, and tax computations
  • Identifying possible planning possibilities
  • Preparation of reports for clients
  • Answering client ad-hoc questions and enquiries in respect of the trust tax affairs

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Have the ability to manage workload in order to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Possess good written communication skills to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC
  • Have good inter-personal skills to liaise with clients and other staff members
  • Provide support to supervise staff members below and support Directors above

Education and Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience gained within a professional services firm
  • Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
