The Job: MOT Tester / Mechanic

• Perform MOT tests on a range of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Inspect vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and tyres for functionality and safety.
• Diagnose faults and recommend necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and ensure all paperwork is completed in accordance with regulations.
• Communicate findings clearly to customers, providing explanations of any issues discovered during testing.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop environment.
• Team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOTs.

Job Experience: MOT Tester / Mechanic

• MOT Licence is essential in securing this position.
• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
• Confident with mechanical vehicle repairs.
