Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post would be dedicated full time to Undergraduate Medical Education.
The Otorhinolaryngology Department provides clinical teaching for medical students from the University of Nottingham Medical School. The ENT module is within the Foundation to Practice (FFP) course for 3rd year students. FFP is the first full-time clinical attachment for medical students, and runs from late February to the end of October. This course forms part of the new curriculum that started in February 2022. There are 5 blocks of 6 weeks with approximately 30 students per block (150 in total).
The Clinical Teaching Fellow will support the development of the course structure, assessment criteria and materials. The role holder will also deliver taught sessions, clinical teaching and mandatory workplace based assessments (DOPs and Min-Cex) that are part of each module. The rest of their time will be spent attending the MMedSci in Medical Education, supporting other clinical courses at NUH as required and undertaking projects relevant to medical education.
