Quality Inspector

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading manufacturing organization known worldwide. This is a chance to join an established manufacturing team in a company that prides itself on a friendly working environment. The Quality Inspector role is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn, Burnley, Preston.

The Quality Inspector will be required to work the following shift: Days - Monday to Thursday 07:30 am to 16:15 pm & Friday 07:30 am to 12:30 midday.

Key experience for the Quality Inspector:

1. Previous, proven experience within a Nuclear/Quality Inspector's role
2. Experience within a manufacturing environment
3. Knowledge of ISO9001 as well as ASME PED (this would be an advantage)
4. Strong background in technical understanding
5. Quality engineering
6. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is used to working within a heavy engineering environment
7. Time-served mechanical engineer
8. At least 2-3 years' experience within quality control

Key Duties for the Quality Inspector:

1. Maintain all controlled document files and test records
2. Perform inspections of purchased parts
3. Monitor equipment & instrumentation to ensure operation and calibration
4. Support the writing and updating of inspection procedures
5. Attend meetings to provide reports and updates with the general manager/senior quality engineer
6. Work or reject subassemblies or finished products as required
7. Be responsible for enforcing safety and quality on site
