Job description

MathsTutors.Online has created an innovative and highly successful tuition method for GCSE Maths students. Whilst helping students far surpass national results for half the cost of average tuition, we've created a fun, engaging and results-driven learning experience. To continue reaching more students and making a bigger impact, we're looking for passionate and skilled SDRs to take responsibility for speaking with potential parents and students to pair them with the right tutor and roadmap for their needs, to help them on the best pathway towards success.

Our sales approach is consultative. We find out the students' "unique" situation and offer our expert advice to get them to their dream goal, whether that's with us or not. It just so happens that our service is also the best value option available.

We're an excited, passionate and driven team who love travel, keeping fit, and learning new skills. We're looking for SDRs that find building rapport second nature (perhaps you're often described as charismatic!) and who love the dance of leading people through a logical, choreographed decision process, as well as having the relevant experience described below. If this sounds like a good culture fit for you, please keep reading.

This is a role for someone who does not like slow-paced environments - this is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong career whereby their hard work is directly having a positive impact on the lives of others. You'll be the first impression that a student will get from the company and thus must be professional, an effective communicator, and excellent at building rapport. You need to be enthusiastic about our students achieving their target grades and excited to go the extra mile to ensure that each prospect is served in the most appropriate way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reaching out via phonecall as the first point of contact for parents interested in our tutoring services, to see if they are the right fit for what we offer, and give more basic info
  • Taking discovery calls with warm prospects (parents and students together) via video call, to sell the right lessons, tutor and service for them
  • Following up consistently with prospects at all stages of the pipeline
  • Maintain a clear (concise & precise), up to date and accurate pipeline in our CRM
  • Book and take review calls with existing parents and students, to share their progress and ensure they're still on the right pathway
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A STEM degree
  • At least 1 year transactional sales experience (short sales cycle, 1-2 call close)
  • At least one year of experience working in education, such as in a school setting (e.g., teacher, teaching assistant, or administrative role) or within a tutoring company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Laptop or desktop computer
  • Strong WiFi connection
  • Positive, enthusiastic and charismatic personality
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change & strive for improvement
  • Has a great sense of urgency
  • Proactive not reactive
  • Open to growing rapidly
  • Self-sufficient, well organised, and able to properly manage one's own time
Salary
  • Base salary £30,000 per annum plus benefits (see below), OTE £44,000 per annum, uncapped commission
Benefits
  • Referral programme
  • Fully remote work
  • Paid time off
  • Gym allowance
  • Tech/office allowance
Location
  • Fully remote, as long as the time zone fits the availability requirements below
Availability
  • Full time, permanent, salaried role (please note, this role is not suitable for someone looking for a part time position/second job)
  • M-F, 4pm-9pm UK time, plus approx. 2.5h during daytime
  • 2 x 1h team meeting per week in weekday daytime
  • Start date: 21st April 2025
Communication Expectations
  • We use Slack for day-to-day communication
  • We value clarity of communication, so that everyone understands how to fulfil their role to the best of their ability
  • Bi-weekly team meetings
  • Monthly 1-2-1 reviews
