Job description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals who are looking to take their career to the next level in a heavy engineering environment. The position on offer is a full-time, permanent role, with plenty of progression and opportunities available within a thriving company. Successful candidates will be trained on a day shift rota, before transitioning to nights after completing training.

Main duties will include:

1. Input and modify programmes on computer controls.
2. Undertake various duties including fettling, painting, and shotblasting.
3. Conduct inspections, brand, and record part and serial numbers.
4. Ensure customer specifications are met by checking dimensions against process sheets or sketches.
5. Clean work areas and maintain equipment as required.
6. Organise tool storage and prepare tools for production.
7. Adhere to all safety and quality processes and procedures.
8. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Previous experience in an engineering environment is essential, and FLT licences will be extremely beneficial; as would experience/certification of pendant crane operations, confined spaces and abrasive wheels. Starting salary circa £27,000 with shift allowances and premiums added rising to circa £32,000.

The role is commutable from Newark, Lincoln, Sleaford, Horncastle, Market Rasen and Gainsborough.
