An exciting and interesting opportunity has arisen in the Urology Centre for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team of expert and innovative Urologists, CNSs, nurses, and researchers. This position will help you to build knowledge and to develop the experience and skills in order for you to further your career within Urology. We are a busy unit with a worldwide reputation. In this role, you will support the clinicians, carry out a range of diagnostic procedures, and run nurse-led clinics. We are seeking a nurse with vision and dedication, who has nursing experience with particular expertise in urology. Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and provision of specialist nursing advice and carry out specialist nursing procedures. They will be required to support the team in the smooth running of all clinics and to maintain a safe working environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and teaching junior colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, and provision of specialist nursing advice and carry out specialist nursing procedures such as trial without catheter, teaching ISC, administering intra-vesical chemotherapy, and assisting with flexi-cystoscopy. The position requires the post holder to support junior colleagues, mentor students, and to be a supportive role model at all times. The post holder will ensure the safety and well-being of service users and always work in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person-centred care principles.
