Job description

Are you a skilled and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of children?
Our education agency is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a well-established school in Maidstone, Kent. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children in a supportive and dynamic environment, making a lasting impact on their communication and learning.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for children with speech, language, and communication needs.
  2. Developing individualized therapy plans and working closely with teaching staff to implement them effectively.
  3. Supporting students with speech and language difficulties in both group and one-on-one sessions.
  4. Offering expert advice and training to school staff to enhance the provision for children with communication difficulties.
  5. Liaising with parents and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the students' development.
  6. Keeping accurate records and reports for each student, ensuring compliance with legal and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements:
  1. A recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (BSc or MSc).
  2. HCPC registration and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  3. Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  5. A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students.
