What’s the role?

Leisure and Entertainment Sales Manager

About The Ned:

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

As part of the Sales and Events team you will:

  1. Be responsible for securing new business, maintaining customer relationships, and delivering to budget our TI goals.
  2. Regularly travel to attend events and expos in key markets, where you’ll showcase The Ned London’s spaces and facilities to business leaders in the leisure and entertainment sectors.
  3. Make regular sales calls, site inspections, and entertain clients so they can see what we have to offer.
  4. Assess your accounts to maximise revenue potential.
  5. Negotiate rates with clients and follow up on all proposals and requests for proposals.
  6. Compile and analyse month-end reports, implementing action plans to improve our market share penetration.
  7. Define and implement the Entertainment and travel industry sales strategy.
  8. Research new opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate companies/organisations likely to produce business for the hotel.

What you can bring to the role:

  1. Rapport building skills are the core of this role; you’ll be showcasing The Ned to decision makers, so every interaction is crucial to build on The Ned’s reputation.
  2. Entertaining existing and potential partners will be a regular part of the day-to-day, so you’ll have a fantastic personality and understand that there will be some evenings and weekends needed.
  3. You’ll have great all-round proactive sales knowledge and a knack for converting enquiries into confirmed business, and you will be highly organised, results-driven, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the business.
  4. An existing network of clients, particularly in Leisure, Entertainment, and/or North America would be extremely advantageous.

What The Ned can give you:

  1. Salary of up to £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
  2. Discretionary bonus.
  3. Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s - including monthly payday breakfast.
  4. Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends.
  5. Wellbeing and health benefits, including Reward Gateway and Wagestream, with access to gym, shopping and cinema discounts.
  6. Your birthday off, after a year of service and more holiday after five years of service.
  7. Paid volunteer day.
  8. Refer a friend scheme.
  9. Regular social events, including an annual pool party.
  10. Employee assistance program – 24/7 advice and support.
  11. Reward and recognition initiatives.

At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity; we challenge ourselves to do even better. The Ned is committed to being the best place to work, and ensuring that we have a leading diversity, equity and inclusion programme is central to making that vision a reality.
