Senior Platform Engineer - Contract (Manchester)

Insight is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help modernise our CI/CD tech stack and deliver solutions to delight our product development teams, helping them focus on what they do best – providing value for the business.

You will be part of a dedicated team empowered to deliver change.

Role Responsibilities

• Delivering and enhancing our Internal Developer Platform through self-service automation, as well as onboarding and integrating best of breed products.
• Elevate supply chain security to a first-class concern.
• Help teams adopt modern technology through guidance and pairing.
• Contribute to the support and maintenance of existing systems.

Experience Required

• Direct experience creating CI/CD infrastructure, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Development skills in a mainstream programming language, preferably Python.
• Understanding and usage of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security best practices and tooling.
• Practical experience of test automation.
• Ideally knowledge of Azure and GitOps tooling.
• Effective communication skills. You will be liaising with a large variety of people across organisational levels and skills across many teams.
