Location: Head Office, Leicester (Hybrid working 1 day a week in the office)

Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus & benefits

At Next we have a great opportunity for an analyst to join our growing Credit and Risk team as a Collections Strategy Analyst. As a team, we are responsible for analysing all aspects of our £1.3B credit portfolio and using data to drive insight on how we can optimise our customer proposition and business profit. You’ll be at the heart of understanding our credit customers and designing, testing and implementing strategy changes to help support those that are in financial difficulty and may be finding it challenging to pay their NEXT account.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has great data analysis skills and a real curiosity about solving business problems. You’ll need to be the kind of person who enjoys getting stuck into complex problems, confidently analysing a range of data using industry standard tools, such as SQL or Python, and working on cross functional projects to deliver great solutions for our customers.

If you’re excited about using data to drive real customer and business impact, our Collections Strategy Analyst role is a great opportunity to develop your career within a growing business and well known brand!

You will:

  • Produce regular reporting and carry out complex analysis, using multiple data sources.
  • Comment on trends, adding value through contributing ideas and solutions to any problems or opportunities identified.
  • Continuously review and refine collection strategies to improve recovery rates and drive good customer outcomes, ensuring that they are empathic, fair and compliant with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Build and present reporting and strategy recommendations relating to collections strategy at internal and external meetings where required.
  • Work with internal and external teams to deliver these strategies. This could be across contact centre, marketing, customer experience, and tech.

About you:

  • You will have experience of working in an analyst position or have a highly numerate/analytical background.
  • Experience in Collections or Collections Strategy is essential.
  • You will be a natural problem solver and enjoy working logically.
  • You will have an eye for detail and the drive to get under the skin of complex business challenges.
  • You will enjoy working with a diverse multi-discipline team to deliver results at pace.
  • You will have experience of working with the following; Excel/SQL/Python/SAS/PowerBI.
  • You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, to most effectively present your insights and gain buy-in to implement change.

This isn’t a checklist and we don’t expect you to tick every box, but a strong desire to learn fast, get stuck in and deliver value is essential. If you think that sounds like you, then we’d love to hear from you and find out if a career at Next could be your next great move!
