The Reablement team within our homecare department are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Occupational Therapist who enjoys working with adults with a variety of needs to allow them to achieve their maximum potential. You will work alongside occupational therapists, homecare supervisors, community care assistants and carers. You will undertake a range of tasks including community assessments, goal setting, assessment for equipment and adaptations, manual handling and support and guidance around a Reablement model with carers and community care assistants. The team provides a service to all service users and their unpaid carers across Midlothian. The work of the team is varied and underpinned by a person-centred approach and, alongside good assessment skills, requires a working knowledge of the theories for intervention. The work involves multi-agency liaison and the ability to establish effective working relationships across the Health and Social Care Partnership, partner agencies and 3rd sector organisations.
Experience of working with older adults in Reablement is desirable, alongside the area of physical disabilities.

Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £41,802.34 per annum.
