Principal Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater

Working Hours: BST: 8:00 - 18:00 (Mon/Thurs), 8:00 - 16:00 (Fri)

Access Talent Group are recruiting for a large international design consultancy in multiple Yorkshire based offices. Our client is looking for a strong Chartered or near chartered Principal Civil Engineer with a focus on the water sector within the wastewater sector.

This consultancy is looking for a near chartered or nearly Chartered Engineer who will need to have a Civil wastewater background. You will have to have detailed design experience within the wastewater sector. This role will involve projects from feasibility, detailed design, and even handover to the client. You will be working on a number of schemes within the water framework, including Thames, Welsh, and Severn Trent water frameworks on various asset and wastewater pipeline projects.

This employee-owned consultancy is looking for someone who can lead projects and manage an efficient team. They have an exciting mega pipeline of work.

Experience Required:

  1. Technical design experience within pipeline and pump station projects.
  2. Experience in feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases of water and sewer rising pressurized pipeline projects.
  3. Understanding and ability to design gravity sewers.
  4. Sound commercial knowledge with experience in fee proposals, reports, client meetings, team coordination, program management, and preparation.
  5. Experience (not essential) with NEC Contracts and knowledge of CDM regulations.
  6. Previous design experience in pipeline hydraulics, with a strong knowledge of GIS and 3D CAD software packages.
