Machine Operator in London | $17.50/hour (2024-01-08)

IS2 is looking for a Machine Operator for a growing manufacturing business that builds thermoplastic injection moulds for the automotive industry. Job Summary:

Performs continuous operation of automated machines to ensure that products meet specifications and production requirements by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Can follow and understand work instructions including visual aids and limit samples.
2. Has experience in Quality Control and is detail-oriented.
3. Can identify common defects such as: short shots, splay, flash, etc.
4. Uses correct packaging and quantity of parts per work instruction.
5. Correctly starts/completes the product inspection, traceability/production forms.
6. Attaches proper bar code labels to the correct packaging.
7. Ability to work multiple workstations as production needs require.
8. Places all first off and fixture parts from previous shift into the correct lot number container.
9. Records hourly checks on board and/or paperwork provided.
10. Completes rework on all parts requiring such at the end of the shift.
11. Checks and changes tip on gasket machine on an hourly basis.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

1. Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
2. Minimum of one year of Quality Control experience.
3. Minimum of grade 12 or GED.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
6. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
