Job title: Project Engineer Ref: 39257 Division: Asset Operations & Capital Delivery Location: Ashford Common - TW15 1RU, Beckton - IG11 0AD, Crossness - Abbey Wood, South East London - SE2 9AQ, Deephams - Enfield, North London - N9 0BA, Mogden - Isleworth - TW7 7LW Contract type: Permanent Full/Part-time: Full-time Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance of £4,500 per annum. Job grade: B Closing date: 31/01/2025

What you will be doing as a Project Engineer:

• Managing and delivering a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects, with a typical value of £40,000 to £400,000 per project.
• Responsibility for up to 15 live projects at any one time, with further projects in the scoping and tendering phase.
• Developing innovative and modern solutions to operational problems, making our sites more efficient and delivering value for money for our customers.
• Working with our operations teams and contractors to scope, define and cost solutions that are both cost-effective and have minimal risk.
• Delivering our zero-compromise health and safety attitude to all contractors working on your project.

What you should bring to the role:

• A background in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Formal qualifications within these sectors are strongly encouraged.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, including internal colleagues, site employees and external contractors.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, be self-motivated and driven, and use your initiative to deliver high-quality work.
• Understanding of Health and Safety standards with particular reference to construction works including CDM.
• Experience in Project Management is desirable.
• Industry experience would be highly advantageous but not essential.
