- Recommend enhancements to parts planning design and data models.
- Evaluate the current SAP landscape, identifying opportunities to enhance or reimplement functionalities in alignment with business objectives.
- Define requirements for a robust parts planning structure and conduct evaluations of alternative software solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of spare parts planning with other supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, and production.
- Contribute to the development of a Target Operating Model (TOM) and roadmap for transition.
- Develop a transition strategy that covers the steps for moving to the future state, including change management and training plans.
- Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and define future-state processes.
- Identify and implement best practices in spare parts planning to enhance performance metrics.
- Present findings, recommendations, and solutions to senior stakeholders, explaining the benefits and potential impacts of proposed changes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Extensive experience in spare parts planning, with significant hands-on SAP expertise focused on spare parts and inventory management.
- In-depth knowledge of spare parts planning processes, including:
- Demand forecasting, forecast algorithms, and multi-echelon planning.
- First and last time buy, obsolescence management, safety stock calculations, risk-based spares planning, and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in SAP tools relevant to supply chain and spare parts planning (e.g., SAP SCM/APO SPP, S/4HANA eSPP, SAP IBP), with a proven ability to configure and optimise these systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data to develop effective spare parts planning strategies.
- Experience with other specialised parts planning solutions is highly desirable (e.g., Servigistics, Baxter Planning, GAIN Systems).
- Background in industries where spare parts management is critical, such as automotive, industrial equipment, aerospace, or manufacturing.
- Capability to work with other functional consultants to integrate spare parts planning with SAP modules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of client engagements.
