Job Title: Sales Engineer - UK

Location: United Kingdom (Remote with travel as required)

Reports To: Director of Sales Engineering

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to join our UK team and support our growing customer base.

Position Overview:

The Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. This hands-on role will involve engaging with potential customers, conducting product demos, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring the successful deployment of our cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IAM, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design customized solutions to address identity and access security needs.
  2. Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers, highlighting the value and impact of our solutions.
  3. Articulate technical concepts and product capabilities to both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
  4. Assist customers in designing the architecture and integration of our solutions into their existing IT environments.
  5. Provide hands-on support for Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot programs, and technical evaluations to validate product fit and effectiveness.
  6. Address technical questions and concerns raised during the sales cycle, collaborating with internal teams to deliver the best possible solution.
  7. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical decision-makers, including IT teams and security professionals, to ensure alignment with their goals and requirements.
  9. Support the sales team in qualifying technical opportunities and addressing potential blockers to drive successful outcomes.
  10. Internal Collaboration & Feedback:
  11. Work closely with product management and development teams to provide feedback from customers and improve product offerings.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to inform customer conversations and ensure product differentiation.
  13. Provide technical training and support to the sales team to ensure they are equipped to effectively sell and position our solutions.
  14. Develop technical collateral, including presentations, case studies, and whitepapers to support the sales process.

Qualifications:

  1. Technical Expertise:
  2. Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and related cybersecurity technologies.
  3. Familiarity with protocols such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Active Directory.
  4. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid IT infrastructures.
  5. Experience:
  6. 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical sales role, ideally within the cybersecurity, IAM, or enterprise IT space.
  7. Proven experience in providing technical support during the sales process, conducting product demos, and addressing customer inquiries.
  8. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  10. Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging customers and prospects in compelling, solution-oriented discussions.
  11. Ability to foster relationships with technical and business stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  12. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
  13. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to design solutions that meet the specific needs of the customer.
  14. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the sales cycle.
  15. Certifications in IAM, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are a plus.
  16. Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001 is beneficial.
