Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a SEN school in Ashford who are looking to recruit effective behaviour mentors to support students overcome barriers to their learning.

The role offers a varied and ever-changing environment in which members of staff work flexibly to support vulnerable students with emotional, social, and mental health difficulties. The role is full-time with the potential of offer of a permanent contract for those who excel in post.

Those who have experience in the following areas would be of particular interest:

1. Youth work
2. Art background
3. Support work & residential care
4. Learning mentor
5. Prison officers
6. Graduates from relevant disciplines (Psychology, Sociology, Sports, Criminology and Education)

The primary function of this role is to work collaboratively with the team supporting students in developing students' confidence, self-esteem, increasing school participation and to generally cultivate greater aspirations to achieve, not only in education but in their lives as a whole.

This is a unique opportunity. The senior leadership team are very supportive and offer every opportunity for their staff to take ownership of their work as they recognise every individual is unique and offers their own particular set of skills.

Details:

1. Mon-Fri (8:30-16:30) term time
2. Temp to perm options available
3. £85-£100 a day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
