The role

Here are some of the main areas you can expect to advise on day-to-day:

  • Landlord and Tenant portfolio management, including lease renewals, rent review, dilapidations and break notices
  • Mortgage repossessions
  • Advising on Option agreements, easements and restrictive covenants
  • Assist residential developer clients with land purchase and vacant possession strategies.

Playing a pivotal role in the team, you will have the opportunity to build and develop new and existing client relationships, as well as running a varied and rewarding caseload, as well as acting as a supervisor for more junior members of the team.

What we are looking for

Successful candidates will have experience of working within a specialist property litigation team dealing with commercial clients. You will be used to dealing with a variety of landlord and tenant issues. It goes without saying that you will need to demonstrate excellent client service skills.

We are seeking someone with good solid training and experience able to deal with a busy case load immediately, with the ability and desire to help supervise and manage the team.

To enjoy working at Clarion and thrive in the firm you will need to be motivated, a team player, commercially minded, calm under pressure and be able to work equally well autonomously and collaboratively.

The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.

The Property Litigation team is made up of specialists recognised in Chambers and Legal 500 for their knowledge and expertise and is one of the largest pure property litigation teams in Leeds. They are recognised for the great quality of their work, which is a mix of estate management and advisory. The Property Litigation team is part of the Real Estate team.

Clarion has a great reputation as an employer of choice and our culture is vital to our ongoing success. We genuinely care for our employees and hire only the best talent (good people with outstanding technical skills). In exchange for your efforts you can expect:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off (with the option to buy or sell holiday, and flex some bank holidays)
  • Medical Cash Plan
  • Reward Scheme
  • Pension and Life Assurance
  • Generous ‘family friendly leave’
