Job description

We are representing a Fintech Payments Company, specialising in Credit Cards & Payment Services in their search for a Senior Legal Counsel to be based in their London Office. This role is perfect for someone already working in-house within Financial Services, looking to grow their knowledge and start managing a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating commercial contracts; including SAAS Agreements, Client Agreements, NDA's and Partnership Agreements.
  • Advising the company on any regulatory challenges they may face and liaising with the FCA to ensure compliance. Horizon scanning will come into this.
  • Working on Corporate transactions (including M & A).
  • Assisting with Litigation and Data Protection matters from time to time.
  • Collaborating with the wider legal team and other stakeholders of the business.
  • Supervising junior members of the legal team.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years PQE E & W Qualified Lawyer.
  • Strong skills in contract drafting and negotiations, and regulatory compliance (FCA).
  • Experience supervising junior members of the legal team.
  • Must have worked within an FCA Regulated Company.
