Job Title: Area Technical Sales Manager - Roofing and Waterproofing

Industry Sector: Refurbishment, Roofing Waterproofing, Single Ply, Waterproof Membranes, Bitumen Membranes, Structural Waterproofing, Cold Liquid Applied Systems, Green Roofs, Concrete Repairs, Damp Roofing Repairs

Area to be covered: East and North East London

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Basic £75,000 uncapped OTE

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid or Electric Car & Full Benefits

The role of the Specification Sales Manager Roofing & Waterproofing systems will involve:

1. Field sales position promoting felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc.
2. Winning specifications with refurbishment clients, predominantly building surveyors, refurbishment surveyors, local authorities and building owners
3. Dealing with main contractors and approved roofing contractors
4. Target responsible circa £500,000-£1m
5. Inheriting a significant project bank to achieve next year's sales target
6. Inheriting a pipeline of live projects and projects going through the tender process
7. Focusing on refurbishment projects
8. Product training will be provided

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Roofing & Waterproofing systems with:

1. Proven track record of technically focused specification field sales with building surveyors
2. Roofing experience is not essential
3. Open to building envelope associated products such as cladding, EWI, roof windows etc.
4. Prior experience with local authorities, building owners/end users may be beneficial
5. Surveying knowledge/experience may be useful
6. Strong refurbishment construction industry experience
7. Highly motivated, self-driven with a keen ambition to succeed and progress
8. Must be a team player with a professional approach to working
9. Excellent communication skills, as well as strong negotiating and influencing abilities
10. Hungry to learn mentality
