About Prestige Nursing & Care Banbury

Our Banbury branch are all long serving and have a vast knowledge of the area and our client base. Our purpose is to provide high quality, community-based specialist home care and support. We aim to work together to achieve the goals of each of our varying clients, and to make a difference in their lives.

What our client is looking for:

Our client lives in Woking. Support is required in the mornings from 7:30am – 9:30am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and a couple of evenings from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for a client who needs mainly companionship and supervisory care. The client is 23 years old with a brain injury but does her own self-care and goes to college 3.5 days per week.

The client needs the care support for:

  1. Safety in the home – if something went wrong in her flat she would need help to problem solve what to do.
  2. At times needs help with styling her hair if she wants to do something particular (she has limited use of one hand).
  3. Supervision with domestic tasks.
  4. Assistance with meal preparation – again, she can do this, but needs help to complete cooking tasks effectively.
  5. Reminders to drink enough during the day.
  6. Accompaniment on public transport, for help with journey planning etc (she can do very local bus trips on her own but anything further afield needs accompaniment).
  7. Help (more prompting/reminding) to make appointments and put them in her diary.
  8. Prompting to do things in the community, like go for a walk, fetching small items from a local shop.
  9. Assistance with planning her shopping and doing an online order.
Do you need experience?

Care experience is advantageous but full training will be provided.

What we offer:
  • You will be paid the National Minimum Wage for all attended training sessions and shadow shifts.
  • We offer the flexibility of either a zero-hour contract or contracted hours, whichever suits your lifestyle the most.
  • Work with our own clients, no agency work.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Blue Light Card.
  • Enhanced Maternity/Paternity and Adoption schemes.
  • Continued professional development to support you & your career.
  • Holiday pay.
  • Refer a Friend scheme.
  • Employee Assistance Line – available 24/7 and fully confidential for our colleagues.
  • Support from your local branch team and out of hours support.
We’re looking for:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good professional and personal references.
