The Vacancy

BTS Group, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is currently seeking an experienced utilities Arborist and Groundsman to join the team in Stoke-on-Trent, Telford, and the surrounding areas. This will be a hands-on full-time, permanent position.

Applications are welcome from self-motivated individuals who are interested in making a positive contribution by undertaking surveys of trees within proximity to overhead lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake surveys of trees within proximity to overhead lines.
• Work as part of a team.
• Demonstrate motivation and drive.
• To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration.

Person Specification:

• Able to operate software systems on Tablet hardware in the field.
• Broad tree identification and characteristics knowledge.
• First Aid Certification.
• NPTC: 201 Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross Cutting, 202 Felling & Processing Trees Up To 380mm, 304 Felling & Processing Trees Over 380mm [Groundsman] + 203 Tree Climb & Aerial Rescue, 204 Aerial Cutting Of Trees Using Free Fall Techniques, 302 Aerial Tree Pruning, 303 Aerial Tree Rigging [Arborist].
• UA: 301, 302, 303 & 304 [Groundsman].
• UA: 301, 302, 303, 304 & 305 [Arborist].

Salary and Benefits:

• £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
