Job description

Homelessness Prevention Officer – London

iPeople SC Solutions is currently recruiting for a Homelessness Prevention Officer for our client based in Westminster and surrounding areas.

The successful post holder will work in a small team with project officers and the Homelessness Prevention Lead within a wider Housing Needs Team.

Duties will include
  • Supporting community engagement with a range of stakeholders and people with lived experience of homelessness and housing need.
  • Supporting homelessness prevention projects including service commissioning and assurance, data analysis and trend reporting, and partnership working.
  • Tracking housing outcomes for high priority cases as delegated.
  • Good understanding of homelessness sector and the role of Local Authorities.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multi-project workload.
  • Quality report writing.
  • Ability to present information to a varied range of stakeholders from Directors to community groups.
Requirements
  • Previous project-based experience working in the public sector.
  • Demonstrable high-quality written and verbal communication skills.
  • We will require 5 years references and a full up-to-date work history with any gaps explained.
  • Proactive and self-starting.

Working Hours: 36 hours, Monday – Friday, office-based with hybrid working available.
