Job description

Vehicle Strip Fitter
Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:00-16:00
Pay Rate: £16 p/h PAYE
Contract: Long-term, Ongoing work

We are seeking experienced Vehicle Strip Fitters to join our client's well-established bodyshop team in Thurleigh. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring vehicles are stripped, repaired, and refitted to the highest standards, under the guidance of the bodyshop manager and supervisor.

The Role:
  1. Strip and refit panels on a range of vehicles.
  2. Remove parts and panels, ensuring all fixings (e.g., nuts, bolts, screws) are accurately labelled and securely stored for reassembly.
  3. Carry out repairs to restore vehicles to their original condition following approved methods.
  4. Assist other departments within the bodyshop as required.
  5. Support and train bodyshop trainees when needed.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  2. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
  3. Hold a full, category B driving licence, with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
