Investigations Analyst

About the role
We are looking to hire an Analyst, to join our Investigations team in London, reporting to the Team Lead of Reconciliation, Investigations & Treasury Operations division.

You will be an important colleague within the wider Global Core Operations department, delivering against strict SLA’s and driving the continuous improvement agenda within the department. The role involves investigating non-STP payments, reasons for reconciliation breaks, and automating payments to STP.

What you will be doing

1. Applying payment and FX knowledge to daily tasks
2. Investigate and clear reconciliation breaks
3. Produce Root Cause Analysis on reasons for reconciliation breaks
4. Look for automation opportunities & work towards 100% STP rate
5. Continuous learning and development of payment routing and infrastructure
6. Create and continuously improve processes
7. Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders
8. Project work and ad-hoc tasks as required

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, you'd ideally have experience from a similar role with a proven track record and knowledge of financial institutions and payments. However, that is not a requirement. We do expect you to be a problem solver and to have a strong data-driven mindset. Understanding of Excel, SQL and various programming languages is an advantage.

Your solid analytical skills enable you to easily comprehend complex issues and you clearly articulate goals and expectations, relating them to the business mission and direction. You are adaptable to change and can also drive continuous improvement agenda within the Global Core Operations department.

As a person, you are outgoing, energetic, confident, trustworthy, execution-oriented, and a team player.

As Banking Circle is an international company, it’s a requirement that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. If you master other relevant languages, it will be an asset.
