Change and Configuration Engineer (Remote)

Who we are looking for

A Change and Configuration Engineer, who will play a key role in ensuring change management processes are followed across the Business.

The Change and Configuration Management department is responsible for ensuring that all risks and regulatory impacts have been assessed at the appropriate level, for all changes being applied to the live environment.

Your primary focus is to ensure that changes are assessed and recorded, according to our policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to be involved in innovative technology and Business focused projects, as we strive for continuous improvement.

A background in Change and Configuration Management is advantageous but not essential.

Preferred skills and experience

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with a process-oriented approach, with the ability to meet deadlines whilst working in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of change management principles.
• Pragmatic approach to the administration of governance.
• Formal technical training or background is preferred.
• Knowledge of software development principles is desirable.
• Experience with Remedy, JIRA, and an ITIL background is desirable.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensuring regulatory compliance is a key consideration for multiple jurisdictions in all planned changes released to the live environment.
• Helping to create and maintain accurate and relevant documentation.
• Engaging necessary stakeholders prior to approving change requests to progress into the live environment, so that all relevant risks are assessed at the appropriate level.
• Engaging necessary stakeholders to ensure processes are understood and function effectively for the implementation teams.
• Ensuring traceability of changes against each configuration item is achieved.
• Processing change requests in a timely manner according to the change policy, whilst ensuring they are recorded and stored accurately.
• Highlighting changes that do not conform to standards.
• Contributing to the production of regulatory reports where applicable.
• Helping to resolve queries to ensure that all appropriate changes take place.
• Acting as the first point of contact for Business and regulatory change queries.
