Job description

The job in short

As Senior Ecosystems Partnerships Manager, you will be part of a growing team leading Fintech Partnerships globally and you are responsible for managing the partnership pipeline, overseeing and coordinating partner related projects, escalations, pricing strategy, and multiple internal and external stakeholder management. You will play a critical role in steering Backbase's fintech third-party partnership strategy and collaboration. You will report to the Director of Marketplace (Fintech-as-a-Service and Fintech Partnerships).

Meet the job

The following responsibilities will be part of this role (but not limited to):

  1. Be responsible for the full partner lifecycle;
  2. You will identify, evaluate, negotiate, sign, and manage partners end to end that will drive Backbase's Ecosystem growth;
  3. Be responsible for leading relationships with a select set of partners that will include large strategic opportunities, as well scaling our partner program.
  4. Collaborate with the Marketplace commercial leads for respective regions, and build the field intelligence, trends, client requests, feedback into planning for continuous improvement in Backbase partnerships approach;
  5. Work closely with the Director on supporting pricing and commercial strategy for existing and new partners;
  6. Work with a broad range of internal global and local team members in Product (R&D), Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, Marketing and Legal;
  7. Be responsible for internal reporting on partnerships and related activities to the leadership;
  8. Manage or support complex partnership deals, with multiple stakeholders internally and externally. Understanding of coordinating and supporting critical stakeholders as Product and Legal;
  9. Manage complex projects and operations to support either client escalations or implementations.

How about you
  1. 9+ years of professional experience, ideally in partnerships, partnership management with experience in identifying and signing new partners in the Fintech, Payments and/or Banking space;
  2. Master's degree in business administration, finance and/or similar streams from Tier 1 institutions preferred;
  3. Track record of building impactful partnerships, co-creating new products both from innovation and revenue growth;
  4. Have built successful relationships with partners, working with senior leadership and multiple stakeholders on the partnership side;
  5. Should be comfortable to work in an environment where entrepreneurship is expected, teamwork, collaboration and delivered business outcomes are expected.
