Due to school expansion, the Executive Headteacher and Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational, and energetic Assistant Headteacher at Summerwood Campus with Safeguarding responsibility.
Summerwood Campus in Charminster is an autism-specific environment designed to meet the needs of our autistic young people who are working at or close to age-related expectations. Learners at Summerwood are 16-19. Our focus at Summerwood is on providing the right environment and support to enable students to achieve core academic qualifications as well as supporting our students to learn key social and independence skills to support them as they move into adulthood.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will have no regular teaching commitment but will be expected to support teachers across the phase, demonstrating exemplar practice & supporting their teaching team to deliver the highest quality learning opportunities. There will be an expectation to work in collaboration with our other P16 provisions across Linwood School.
