Global Marketing Manager Sustainability (12 month fixed term contract)

With a bold ambition to become a leading premium coffee brand globally and being part of the Coca Cola family, growing sustainably is a priority. 2025 will be a key year for the Costa brand as we launch into the next phase of our growth strategy whilst fully relaunching and repositioning the brand to consumers globally.

As part of the global brand team, you will play a key role in this transition by defining what we want to communicate about our sustainability strategy under our new brand positioning as well as being the lead point person facing into the Coca Cola system and ensuring Costa meets all the sustainability compliance and regulations required to meet our high standards of accountability.

What you'll do

Being a Global Marketing Manager Sustainability is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It's your chance to stir up real success - which means you'll be:
  • Brand coordination lead for sustainability and ESG related activity.
  • Create and maintain a library of consumer and B2B customer facing assets for communication of Costa sustainability goals and activities across key touchpoints and media channels, including website and digital. Manage agency relationships and internal budget allocation to regional/commercial P&L.
  • Lead and coordinate content development and copy with regional marketing & legal teams on related sustainability assets/green claims, approvals and overall brand identity and regulatory/governance requirements.
  • Drive sustainability communication opportunities into brand strategies and campaigns working with business partners to align annual and long range business plans.
  • Develop channel and thematic specific sustainability playbooks to support and amplify commercial and customer opportunities, and support active/reactive communication requirements.
  • Manage brand/communications stakeholder relationships within the Costa and Coca Cola organisations, ensuring Costa meets all Coca Cola sustainability compliance and governance requirements.
  • Support delivery of regulatory & voluntary disclosures, ensuring narratives meet brand standards and internal/external communications policies.
  • Facilitate end to end approvals across stakeholders for all sustainability related disclosures, including external marketing materials, media/website updates and stakeholder communications, working closely with Legal, Corporate Affairs, Internal Communications and Sustainability leads.
  • Work with the Costa Foundation and Community team to create consumer facing communication strategy & narratives.

  • We are looking for an experienced sustainability marketer who bridges a passion for building and translating business sustainability strategies into internal and external narratives.
  • Offer demonstrable experience within a Sustainability Communications role within Retail, Food and Beverage or QSR environment.
  • Someone who values and respects the importance compliance plays for businesses and consumers alike.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates confidence, agility and resilience to come into a business and shape a new role.
  • A self starter who is solutions focused, comfortable with ambiguity, is agile & can adapt or course correct when needed.
Location - Hybrid with the expectation to attend London office a minimum of twice a week.
