Senior Buyer

I am currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer for a global manufacturing business. They are looking for someone with solid procurement experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing/engineering environment, although this isn't essential. This award-winning global business has 23 global manufacturing sites.

They are moving towards category management, so are looking for someone more strategic than operational.

Key Area of Experience:

• Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities
• Implementation of category strategies resulting in improvements both in the UK and globally
• Excellent negotiation skills able to use different methods with different suppliers
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers in related categories or an interest in learning this
• Category management experience
• Excellent stakeholder management skills

You need to be driven, enthusiastic, and able to drive change.

This role is based in Staffordshire and is 100% on site.
