Role: Infrastructure Engineer - AWS

Location: London, minimum of one day per week in the office.

Role mission:

Reporting to the Cloud Infrastructure Manager and as a member of the fast-paced Infrastructure team, broad responsibilities include the implementation and operation of all production and non-production environments. This includes Public (AWS) and Private cloud infrastructure and supporting technologies and participation in team shift patterns to cover 7am to 7pm and an out of hours on-call rota.

Responsibilities:

• Work within the Infrastructure Operations global team to deliver a global follow-the-sun 2/3rd tier support service.
• Day to day operations and maintenance of both public and private cloud environments (VMWare, AWS).
• Support and maintenance of Infrastructure within internally hosted platforms and other cloud hosted services, supporting CUBE services (VMWare, Linux, SQL, AD, SAN's, Backups etc).
• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure security.
• Raising, designing, and implementing recommendations for improvements to internal/public cloud environments.

What we’re looking for:

• AWS Cloud Experience.
• Expertise in Linux, Ansible, Prometheus, Zabbix, HashiCorp.
• Experience with Elastic.
• Strong Virtual Networking, VMware, Virtual Machine Administration, vCenter Administration.
• Good understanding of Physical Network Topologies, Routing, vLAN’s, Firewalling.
• Full UK driving license and car with the ability to attend data centers in Newport, Wales and Farnborough, Surrey within 2 hours.
