Senior Radiographer

Nuffield Health Cardiff & Vale Hospital | Radiology | Permanent contract | Part Time

Competitive salary, dependent on experience (plus enhancements for on-call)

24 hours per week

As a Senior Radiographer at our Cardiff and Vale Hospitals, you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification desirable but not essential, and high levels of technical knowledge. You will be required to work across both sites – Cardiff Bay and the Vale Hospital with equipment to include Ultrasound, DR X-ray, Multipurpose Fluoroscopy, Image Intensifiers in theatre and MRI, Mammography (if relevant).

As a Senior Radiographer, you will:

  • See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy.
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload – in the department, on the ward and in theatre.
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities.
  • Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
  • Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Hours are 24 hours and can be flexible across how and when these are worked. Team operates between Mon-Fri 8am - 8pm, plus on-call responsibilities.
