Falcon Timber is part of Consolidated Timber Holdings (CTH) Ltd, who are market leaders in supplying sustainable timber products to a broad range of customers, mainly in the construction, merchants and joinery markets across the UK and Ireland.

We currently have an opening for a passionate sales individual to join our fantastic team in Bristol. You will be out visiting customers 4 days a week, with one day in the office to collaborate with the team and catch up on team objectives.

What is the main purpose of the role?

To grow our market share in the South West and the South Wales market, promoting the full Timber and Panels range to existing and new customers. We know there is so much untapped potential in this market, and with our broad range of products that can meet all customer demands from Engineered Wood to Specialist Fire Door products and everything in between, we really are well placed to grow this business further.

What are the key areas of responsibility?

  1. Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities that will yield profitable outcomes.
  2. Help manage existing customers, seeking to increase order frequency and basket value.
  3. Work closely with colleagues on project customers to get them trading with us.
  4. Focus on company promotions and product specials as a means to opening doors to increase revenue.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  1. At least a year’s experience of selling a technical construction product
  2. Positive and resilient in approach
  3. Well-developed communication skills, able to influence and negotiate to secure commercially driven results.
  4. Able to work on own initiative, with effective time management skills
  5. Full UK driving licence as travel will be required to meet customers.
