Senior Application Security Engineer

A Global Software Development company is looking to make their first Application Security hire in London.

Being a product focussed business, application security is at the heart of the security team and this role will be integral to the overall security posture of the platform. They have a large engineering organisation with more than 400 developers, so experience working in a similar environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

1. Your responsibilities will be focussed on web application and mobile application security.
2. A deep knowledge of common vulnerabilities like XSS, SSRF, CSRF, SQLi and JWT vulnerabilities is needed.
3. Performing penetration tests, threat modelling architectures and applications, remediating vulnerabilities and improving cloud security (AWS, Azure).

Qualifications

1. A background in software development/engineering is essential for this position.
2. Experience with technologies like PHP, React, Angular, Ruby or Python as these will be the main languages you provide code reviews for.

Position Details

This is a hybrid position (3 days per week) in London, paying from £80,000 - £100,000 base salary, with a performance bonus and stock options on top.
