Citi has a Senior Analyst open position for the Infrastructure Investment Banking team. This role is focused on advising financial sponsors investing in the fast-growing infrastructure sector (i.e. infrastructure funds, SWFs and pension and insurance managers), which spans various industries including transport, utilities, energy and telecom. Given the team’s proactive and flexible approach, the Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and multiple processes, including both sell-side and buy-side transactions. The upcoming Senior Analyst can expect to be a highly impactful contributor to deal teams and gain significant exposure to all aspects of the project’s activities.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with senior Investment Banking officers and professionals and participate in particular client transactions projects or assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team.
2. Responsible for organizing and analyzing sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans.
3. Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deals.
4. Conducting company specific and industry research to support transaction specific diligence as well as to develop specialized sector / industry themes.
5. Evaluate company’s financial performance compared to overall industry and market trends.
6. Build complex financial models for valuation purposes.
7. Keep track of infrastructure funds activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, fund raising, financing and capital markets products.
8. Develop client relationships at an early stage.

Qualifications:

1. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
2. Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, partnering with sector teams and broader Citi’s product teams.
4. Proficiency in accounting, financial modelling, valuation, and deal analysis.
5. Experience in investment banking either in an Infrastructure, Project Finance, Transaction Advisory, Industry group or M&A.
6. High level of attention to detail, proactivity and time management.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
