Role: Primary SEN Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

The Role:
In this role, you will work directly with students who have a variety of special educational needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
  • Emotional Support: Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to students in need.
  • Communication: Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s educational journey.
  • Inclusion: Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with special educational needs feel a sense of belonging and support.

Requirements:

  • QTS or relevant qualification; relevant experience as an SEN Primary Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
