BSL Teaching Assistant

£13.68 - £15 (per hour) - Salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications.

Vision for Education are recruiting for a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Knowsley working 1:1 with a deaf pupil. This role requires someone who is proficient in British Sign Language (BSL) who can communicate and build a strong rapport with the student. The role is full time (Monday to Friday) which will start as soon as possible and could result in a permanent contract from the setting.

Requirements

1. Someone who has an understanding of basic BSL as a minimum.
2. Someone who has worked with children, young people, or vulnerable adults in any capacity.
3. Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
4. Someone with great patience, drive, and determination.
5. Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset.
