CAD Detailer / Draughtsman

Type: Full-time, in-house

Location: Kingswinford

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Your main responsibilities:

1. Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for architectural metalwork projects.
2. Collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
3. Conduct site surveys to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
4. Produce comprehensive material and bolt lists for fabrication and installation.
5. Maintain organized project documentation and ensure accuracy throughout the design process.
6. Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.

The ideal candidate:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CAD detailing role, specifically within the architectural metalwork and steel fabrication sector.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with some familiarity in 3D modelling (not essential).
3. Experience in designing steel staircases, balustrades, handrails, and balconies.
4. Knowledge of stainless steel and glazed balustrade systems.
5. CSCS card holder to facilitate site surveys and inspections.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
7. A clean driving licence to support site visits when necessary.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
