Privacy Assessment Manager

Our client is looking for a dedicated individual who is excited about navigating the complexities of data privacy and helping the organisation ensure compliance with vital regulations.

In this critical role, you will lead the charge on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring we embed privacy by design in everything we do. Your expertise will help them navigate the rapid changes as they go through a transformational period.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and support formal Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy assessments, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
  2. Collaborate effectively with various business units to assess privacy risks related to new projects and third-party suppliers, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  3. Maintain precise compliance documentation, including records of processing activities, risk assessments, and legitimate interests, to demonstrate lawful processing.
  4. Work closely with the Assurance and Governance teams to ensure consistency and quality across all privacy initiatives, reinforcing a strong compliance framework.
  5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of privacy processes and tools, ensuring regulatory requirements are met and adapt to evolving legal landscapes.

What they Are Looking For:

  1. Experience in data protection or privacy impact assessments, with a solid understanding of UK GDPR and DPA 2018 requirements. Between 1-3 years relevant experience.
  2. Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to deliver practical solutions to complex privacy issues.
  3. A proactive, self-motivated attitude with excellent communication and negotiation skills to foster effective relationships.
  4. Ability to manage a diverse and varied workload while adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
