A Level 3 NVQ Qualification in HGV Mechanics

Mobile Trailer Technician needed to cover the Gateshead Area.

Basic salary: up to c.£38,000.
Optional overtime available.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:30pm).

Our client is seeking applications from experienced candidates with high levels of technical training in Truck & Trailer and relevant Qualifications. This is an opportunity to work for a nationally renowned HGV leasing business and repair trucks and trailers of all types and sizes on a mobile basis.

You will be part of a team of technicians who specialize in the repairs and maintenance of HGV Trailers on a mobile basis and will be provided with industry-leading training.

You will need to be confident and competent in Trailer repairs, preferably with several years of experience in the field, as this role includes completing jobs independently and away from site.

What will the successful Mobile Trailer Technician do?

Perform repairs of different natures on a mobile basis.
Perform detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers, maintaining the highest standards of safety and functionality.
Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems.
Inspect for wear and tears/general faults.
Complete work to DVSA standards.
Provide excellent customer service.
Perform all other aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair as required.

The successful Mobile Trailer Technician will have:

A Level 3 NVQ Qualification in HGV Mechanics.
Current experience as an HGV Technician.
Full UK Driving License with HGV Class 1 driving licence desirable.
An ability to meet deadlines.
A high attention to detail.
Experience in Welding, training with axles, tail lift training, and experience is desirable.
