This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hawk Inn and become part of one of the most successful Pub groups in the UK.

Upham Inns have a small collection of premium pubs with rooms in destination countryside locations across the South of England. Our pubs are homely and characterful, with menus celebrating the best of fresh and seasonal countryside cooking. Relax in our beautiful gardens and terraces on a summer's day or enjoy the cosy warmth of roaring fires on a winter's evening.

As Assistant Manager, you'll be supporting the General Manager to maintain that brilliance across the team, delivering awesome shifts that make sure every guest leaves happy. You'll support the day-to-day running of Harpers Haslemere from rotas and team engagement to guest feedback. Your standards will be high as ours, but exactly how you do it will be unique to you.

What you'll bring
  • You are probably an existing Assistant Manager, Supervisor with a background in restaurants or pubs
  • You will have experience of working in a pub environment with serving freshly made food and drink preparation
  • A natural talent and passion for hospitality and an amazing people manager with a flair for talent spotting
  • Extremely driven and relentless at overcoming challenges or obstacles
  • Good literacy skills alongside excellent attention to detail to support reporting on KPI's
  • Great communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • Self-motivator working at pace with limited supervision whilst adhering to pressure and timescales
  • A knowledge of best practice in Sales building, forecasting, team/individual development
