Job Title: Apprentice Finance Assistant

Salary: £12.95 per hour

Location: Sandown Park Racecourse, Portsmouth Road, KT10 9AJ

Hours/working pattern: 5 out of 7 days - 7 Day Operation

We're recruiting an Apprentice Finance Assistant to support the Levy team at Sandown Park Racecourse!

You do not need to have any experience to apply for this vacancy as full training will be provided as part of the Apprenticeship!

On completion of the Apprenticeship you will achieve the Finance Assistant L2 and become a qualified Finance Assistant.

Due to contractual requirements, candidates need to be aged 18+ and will be required to pass a DBS Check.

You will be supporting the London Region which includes Sandown Park Racecourse located in Esher, Kempton Park Racecourse located in Sunbury, and Epsom Downs Racecourse located in Epsom; therefore, travel will be required across these locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting London Region with PCI compliance audits
  • EPOS system and general daily commercial processes.
  • Weekly updates for PCI compliance audits.
  • Managing and logging till movements around the region when necessary - assisted by the home team.
  • Reporting of any broken tills to the home team and actioning feedback.
  • Ad hoc commercial duties depending on business levels.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure a smooth flow of information.
  • Treating all staff, customers, and clients in a polite and professional manner, complying with all company procedures, paperwork and ensuring compliance.
  • Reconciliation of takings post events.
  • Communicating any discrepancies to the line manager.
  • Diplomatically liaising between staff, managers, and people operations teams, and suppliers to resolve queries.
  • Supporting location accounts with invoicing, credit control, and administrative duties.
  • Assisting with new team members by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed, promoting good safety.
