Job description

Venn Group is delighted to be partnered with a renowned humanitarian charity to recruit a Management Accountant on an interim contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key financial processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, debtors and creditors schedules, and monthly management accounts production.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  1. Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and insightful financial analysis
  2. Provide variance analysis and commentary to support strategic decision-making
  3. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning
  4. Maintain and update debtors and creditors schedules, ensuring accurate reporting of outstanding balances
  5. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including PAYE, bank accounts, accruals, and prepayments
  6. Support the year-end accounts production process, including preparing audit schedules and working papers
  7. Utilise Advanced Excel skills to manage and manipulate large datasets, create linked worksheet models, and improve reporting accuracy
  8. Work closely with Senior Finance and Operational teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions
Ideal candidate profile:
  1. Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  2. Proven experience in a Management Accountant role, ideally within a not-for-profit organisation
  3. Strong technical knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
  4. Experience producing monthly management accounts and providing insightful financial analysis
  5. Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs)

Location: Hybrid

Duration: 3-4 month interim contract, subject to further extension

Pay rate: £180-220 per day

Working hours: Full time

Working pattern: Hybrid
