Role Description

The Project Manager role is a dynamic role, reporting to the head of projects. The primary responsibility focuses on design and delivery of spot and average speed enforcement systems across numerous client areas in the UK. Building and maintaining a positive relationship with clients is critical to understanding needs and being successful in this role. Competent written and verbal communication are required to deliver against time and budget.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  1. Verify project information with key stakeholders and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and associated costs are delivered in a timely manner.
  2. Compile site specific Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental documents in accordance with the Jenoptik Quality and Environmental Management System.
  3. Oversee client satisfaction testing.
  4. Provide regular progress reports to the Head of Projects.
  5. Develop detailed project plans to guide clients and project teams to balance changing needs and requirements within the project lifecycle.
  6. Formally handover systems to customer support, agreeing actions to resolve any outstanding issues.
  7. System design and documentation including basic functional/design specifications and basic CAD drawings.
  8. Monitoring project performance and costs to ensure timely delivery, within budget.
  9. Create post project delivery documentation in accordance with CDM regulations.
  10. Identifying and assigning project tasks, utilising experience, skills, and strengths of wider Jenoptik team members.
  11. Build good working relationships by understanding the customer’s project objectives.
  12. Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation and completion.
  13. Candidates will be subject to successful security vetting and clearance.

About you:

  1. Demonstrable experience in equipment installation planning and management.
  2. Experience of ANPR and/or Enforcement systems would be beneficial.
  3. Thorough understanding of Health and Safety and site supervision requirements.
  4. Current UK Driving Licence.

Desirable but not essential:

  1. Health & Safety training and accreditations.
  2. Installation and configuration of computer operating systems and applications.
  3. Experience of working under a Quality and Environmental Management System.
  4. Experience of Microsoft Project.
  5. Some networking knowledge of wireless communication systems.
  6. Current 3 Day First Aid certificate.
  7. Current CSCS Card.
  8. Current SMSTS Qualification.
