Are you an experienced band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to become part of a multidisciplinary therapy team for a SEND school?

I am looking for a band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist to become part of a permanent multidisciplinary therapy team based in a beautiful SEND school specialising in ASD and complex needs.

Main Responsibilities

1. Assessment and intervention planning
2. Group and individual therapy as required
3. Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
4. Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
5. Curriculum development
6. Report writing and record keeping

Requirements

1. Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
2. Understands the value of using an ABA methodology
3. Wants to grow with the school and become a fully immersed member of the team
4. Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, especially autism spectrum disorder
5. Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
6. Is RCSLT and HCPC registered or working towards this
7. Hold a Bachelors or Masters's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

This SEND school caters for students with Autism and provides education for children aged 4 - 19. They are a well-equipped school with excellent leadership across their schools that provide a positive and safe learning environment for their children. Their provision for post16 allows for their students to learn skills for independent living and life beyond school, this could be to prepare them for work or college life. The work they do is essential and you will have an opportunity to be a part of something very special!
