Commissioning Manager - BESS (18-month FTC)
Location: Scotland
Salary: £80k - £90k basic, bonus, Medical, Pension, Healthcare
The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced BESS Commissioning Manager to join a leading energy storage business. The role is site-based, with the majority of the sites located in Scotland.
Job Overview:
As Commissioning Manager, you will take a lead role in the execution and completion of some of the largest and most technologically advanced BESS systems in Europe. The role will be key in ensuring that the installation, energisation, and testing of our BESS assets are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
What do you need to succeed?
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commissioning electrical infrastructure, ideally up to 400kV, and a good understanding of the requirements for connecting energy infrastructure to the UK transmission network.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commissioning energy infrastructure projects; experience in BESS commissioning is advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of HV electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, inverters, protection devices, and SCADA systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Collaborative, with strong communication and organisational skills and the ability to work closely with multiple teams.
Knowledge of grid code and the requirements of achieving ION and FON.
