An innovative firm is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to enhance their observability platform. This role involves designing and implementing user interfaces, focusing on performance and usability. You will work with cutting-edge technologies like React and TypeScript while collaborating with a dynamic team. The company values open-source contributions and offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere within the specified time zones. Join a diverse team that prioritizes developer experience and fosters professional growth through regular learning opportunities and team gatherings.
We are hiring a Frontend Engineer to help design and implement the user interface for our observability platform, Pydantic Logfire.
You will join our frontend team building a performant and intuitive user interface for our observability platform. Some examples of things we work on:
There are frequently opportunities to contribute to open source projects, as we believe in open source and growing the community as we grow our company.
Nice to have but not required:
More generally, you should care about performance, usability, and developer experience, both within the team and for those using the tools we're building.
Pydantic is the data validation library that powers modern Python development - 300 million downloads per month, used by virtually every tech company you've heard of. Why? Because we obsess over developer experience and write code we'd actually want to use ourselves.
We're applying that same engineering mindset to Logfire, our observability platform built for today's development reality: AI workloads, multi-language environments, and cloud infrastructure that's designed to be straightforward to set up and maintain.
We build with technologies developers actually want to work with:
Unlike other companies that pay lip service to open source, we commit over 20% of our engineering team to maintaining and expanding our open source ecosystem. This includes the core Pydantic library and PydanticAI - our rapidly growing framework that's becoming the standard for AI application development. We're signatories of the open source pledge and build on open standards because we believe in interoperability, not lock-in. Use our OpenTelemetry-based SDK with any compatible backend - we're confident you'll choose us on merit.
We're backed by Sequoia Capital and run a fully remote team across multiple time zones (with regular in-person offsites - next one's this May).
Join our team of exceptional engineers who value substance over hype, practical approaches over perfectionism, and meaningful progress over busyness. We've built a culture that balances technical ambition with sustainable practices—minimal meetings and respect for your expertise and time. We're creating tools that genuinely improve developers' lives, and we're looking for thoughtful contributors who share our commitment to quality and our passion for elegant solutions.
