Job Description

Are you an SC-cleared Lead Stress Engineer with expertise in ANSYS? Join ALTEN UK and take a key role in analyzing dynamic aerospace structures made from composite and metallic materials. You'll lead FEA analysis, ensure structural integrity under extreme conditions, and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform stress analysis on dynamic aerospace structures using ANSYS, Patran, and Nastran.
  2. Analyze composite and metallic materials, ensuring compliance with aerospace safety standards.
  3. Lead FEA and TAM (Tooling, Assembly & Manufacturing) activities to optimize performance.
  4. Conduct dynamic and static structural analysis to validate high-performance components.
  5. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance design and manufacturing processes.
  6. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Experience:
  1. 5+ years in aerospace stress engineering with a focus on dynamic structures.
  2. Expert-level proficiency in ANSYS for FEA and structural analysis.
  3. Strong experience with Patran, Nastran, and composite/metallic structures.
  4. Ability to perform dynamic simulations and vibration analysis.
  5. SC Clearance required – must already hold active clearance.
  6. Must be able to work on-site in Barnstaple on a hybrid basis.
