We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Deputy Manager to support the leadership of two children’s services:
Harwood House: A 3-bedded residential service providing a safe and nurturing environment for children with complex health needs.
Bakers Way Respite Service: A vital service offering respite care to children with complex health needs, giving families the support they need to thrive.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support across both services. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to making a real difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is peripatetic, so there would be an expectation to act up as management cover at our other residential services to cover A/L, sickness, etc.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people, or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced Children and Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
Sleeping In, Weekend Working, and Emergency Response are a requirement of this post.
